We started AB Building & Remodeling, LLP with one clear goal—to build better, not faster. Our story began back in 1994 when we became a licensed general contractor after working in vinyl siding and window sales. Once that company closed in Greensboro, NC, the path forward became clear: take the skills we learned and build something of our own.
Construction runs in our blood. Our father, though a lawyer, built his own homes. Our uncles learned the trade from our grandfather, a master cabinet maker from Poland. The homes they built in Scranton, PA—crafted with slate tile roofs and detailed finishes—still stand strong today. That sense of quality, taste, and respect for the craft is what drives us.
More Than Just Building Experience
Before launching the business, we earned undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of Miami. Our background in math and science gives us an edge in understanding cost, logistics, and long-term performance. We spent time working in Miami and Tampa before stepping into the mobile home manufacturing industry.
Over the years, we gained hands-on experience managing materials, crews, and timelines—skills that now shape every remodeling project we take on.
What sets us apart? We’re not the kind of remodeling company that just “slams things together.” We plan every detail—whether it’s kitchen remodels, bathroom remodels, or full home additions. We make upgrades feel like they’ve always belonged. We don’t subcontract, and we don’t leave clients guessing. From custom cabinetry and interior trim to decks, barns, siding, windows, and roofing, we handle everything in-house with clean lines and structural integrity.
We’re fully licensed and insured (NCGCL #81378) and a proud member of the Carteret County Homeowners Association. We work hard to pass savings to our clients without cutting corners. We were raised with manners, and we show up with those values every day. Remodeling isn’t just construction—it’s an art.
